| Baiyoke Sky- billed as the worlds tallest hotel and certainly at 79 storeys the tallest building in Bangkok by some distance. On a clear day you can see forever - well, maybe Pattaya at least. Spacious bedrooms have a light, modern style, carpeted in warm tones of blue and beige. No fitness centre but suntrap of a swimming pool on the 20th floor has some equipment. Coffee shop and buffet restaurant on top floor offer food with a view. |

Observation Deck- located on the 77th floor and a tourist destination in its own right as witnessed by the 100 baht admission charge for non residents. Telescopes line all four glass walls to pick out Bangkok landmarks. Displays show how Bangkok has emerged over the century from rural town to manic metropolis. Entrance charge waived for those taking buffet lunch or dinner in the restaurant one floor above. |
