| Narai - great location on what for many is Bangkoks main road, close to the bars and night market of Patpong and a short walk to the new skytrain system. Entrance leads to attractive circular lobby with fountain, attached to which is the hotels bar and one of the best pizzerias in town. Rooms have been recently refurbished but have smallish bathrooms. Secluded oval swimming pool has a raised sundeck attached and keep-fit enthusiasts will enjoy a large and well equipped fitness centre. Attractive coffee shop and grill restaurant looks down on the lobby area and is fitted out in a contemporary modern style. Excellent value for this part of town. |

Highlight |
Silom Village- a Bangkok landmark a few minutes walk away. An old house has had its rear courtyard converted into a semi open air restaurant area surrounded by handicraft and antique shops. Each evening there are demonstrations of Thai cooking, dancing and vegetable carving. This partly accounts for its popularity but the main attraction is excellent and reasonably priced seafood dining. Consistently good. |
