Ao Tongtakian, Between Chaweng & Lamai Beaches, Koh Samui

I have to say that for myself this came pretty close to perfection. The location is ideal if you want to be away from the madness of Chaweng....and yet its only 20 mins away, with Lamai even closer should you need to really party or whatever.

The beach is very picturesque, really a cove which limits the amount of
people on it. The resort itself...very well laid out, very peacefull and the
very well maintained gardens give the bungalows a nice sense of privacy. The rooms are very stylish and spacious and very well equipped and the housekeeping facilities first rate. The pool area is a pretty nice area to lounge around and do nothing.

Breakfast excellent, lots of choice, ..lunch or dinner is'nt really what
they go in for..but thats no problem as there are some really great
restaurants with wonderful views just a few minutes stroll away.
We were there in the off-season, so obviously it was quiet, but given the
limited accomodation available on this beach area, even at peak times I
can,t imagine it being overcrowded.

In short I would really rate this place for those who want some peace and quiet, it, and the few outside bars etc, have more than enough to let you have fun without you feeling swamped by tourists. Great place for
couples....if you want the rave scene and jetski experience then this ain't for you. If you want peace and tranquility and freedom from videos in bars but prefer places where people talk to each other instead then this is where to come.

 Bungalows come with rattan style four poster beds and a small single bed most suitable for a child. Simple bathrooms are big but basic. Superior bungalows are the same as standard but closer to the beach. Beachfront come kitted with video and stereo. Good value but it's a relatively old resort that shows some signs of fraying at the edges in communal areas. Don't expect any yachts here - a few fishing boats perhaps! Round trip transfers airport-resort-airport at 350 / 175 baht per adult / child under 12.
