Westin Banyan - a new, deluxe hotel located on floors 33 to 60 of Thai Wah Tower, one of the most architecturally striking buildings in Bangkok. All rooms are suites with king size beds, luxurious bathrooms and a seperate working/living area containing in-room fax and copier, computer port and voicemail. Facilities include a business centre with library and private offices, and the tallest garden spa in Asia. In some hotels guests often overlook hotel dining outlets whilst venturing further afield. Not at the Westin. Two restaurants that should not be ignored are the Bai Yun on the 60th floor providing "contemporary Chinese" food and Compass Rose bar/restaurant on the 59th specialising in east/west "fusion" cuisine. Panoramic views of the city can be had from both, though maybe not if the Compass Rose two for the price of one "happy hours" offer is fully indulged in.

Banyan Tree Spa- not an easy choice given the view and quality of cooking that can be had at the two rooftop restaurants, but this spa is something special.Operated by the famous Banyan Tree Spa in Phuket, it's a garden spa on the 58th floor . Outdoor terrace contains small pool with a view. Phenomenal range of massage and aromatherapy treatments in a modern, stylish setting. |
